In this tutorial i will teach you how to extract every single drum sound from reason and use it in fl (or your DAW of choice.)

What you will need in order to be able to complete this tutorial:
*Reason installed and working.
*A bittorent client, i recommend utorrent

After having installed utorrent and reason, go to:
mininova and download the torrent.

Go to the folder you saved it in, there should be a .exe file. Transfer it to C:\%program files%\Propellerheads\Reason\

Open it up, after that you will see a window with a file browser. Browse to C:\%program files%\Propellerheads\Reason\ and open the reason factory sound bank.

Before doing the next step make sure that you have a folder to save samples in.. Mine is D:\dokumenter\Sound_Bank\

After that browse to Redrum patches and right click on the "exclusive drums" folder, and press "extract" in the dropdown menu. Then choose to extract it to your sample folder of choice. This might take some time, so be patient!

After doing this open up FL studio, drag your sample folder into Fl's file browser, and you are done!!!

No need to rewire if its just reasons redrum you are after :D

Tip 1: Reason also provides some .wav samples that are originally used by its NNXT and NN19 samplers, you will find them inside their respective folders inside the sound bank.

Tip 2: You can only extract .wav's or .aiff's don't try to extract anything else, it simply wont work, trust me..

Happy sampling! :D

The continue the song game

Posted by SolidElectro Jan. 31, 2008 @ 4:11 PM EST

Ok this game needs a lot of contributers to work, so i hope you will find it interesting! The rules are simple, the first person creates the beginning of a song (should last 15 secs.) Then he uploads it to some website, and then the next person downloads it and ads additional 15 seconds to it!

Also note that you just add a part, we can do the final mix later..

Please keep the track in sync!!! Tempo=140BPM

List of contributers:
0:00-0:15 - Solid Electro - http://www.uploadhut.com/id182964/game .wav

Weeh, I am so happy ;)!

Posted by SolidElectro Jan. 31, 2008 @ 2:51 PM EST

I'm working together with famous producer Adam Vox! I am remixing one of his songs "Rhythm command" and he is remixing one of mine "Blinding Lights". When the 2 tracks are done he will send them to a label along with 4 if his tracks (including the original rhythm command)..

Of course, there's a really small chance that the album actually gets released, but you'll never know ;)... Unfortunately i can't release my remix when it's finished due to this matter, so you'll have to wait some time for a new track from me..

BTW: Another reason for me to be happy is because that im the 2nd most famous techno artist in CNET's ;) music.download.com Kinda nice, because theres also professional artists there such as: Audion, Miss Kittin, Black Electro and Tatoo detectives :P

Here's a pic that proves it and its not photoshopped, if you don't believe me go see it yourself!
